SM.I.LE80 ensures the integrated and automated management of systems and flows, communicating with production lines, palletizers, wrappers, coordinating the movement of goods with LGVs/AGVs, storage in the warehouse, through to the organization and optimized planning of transport to end customers.
Based on the application needs of the client companies and through different modules, it coordinates intralogistics flows and different hardware systems, integrates manual and automatic operations, communicates with the management of the client's factory (ERP) and supervises the performance of the entire solution in real time, guaranteeing total product traceability, maximum efficiency and safety throughout the supply chain.
SDM (SMART DECISION MAKER)
Smart Decision Maker is the core module of the SM.I.LE80 system. It contains the “decision- making” logic that oversees all the logistic operations of a modern production plant. SDM is designed to implement and coordinate all business processes, optimize the usage of resources and also control the WMS module that implements the following main algorithms:
The put-away algorithm – the decision-making logic in the process of storing and segregating products in the warehouse
The picking algorithm – the decision-making logic controlling the selection of product for shipping
SDM permits the configuration and implementation of custom business rules for each client (segregation rules, shipping rules, etc.).
SDM ensures that automated systems (LGVs, cranes, shuttles, etc.) are used in the most efficient way to distribute workload to available resources, optimize LGV routes and balance throughput and product distribution in high-density automated warehouses.
SDM also plans product movement between different warehouse areas to maximize warehouse saturation. It also identifies opportunities for optimization and defragmentation if required.
WMS (WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
Warehouse Management System is the module that manages the intra-logistic processes of production plants and distribution centers. It provides an integrated solution that controls plant automation as well as manual operations.
The WMS module includes:
Raw materials management
Shipping order and picking management
The module also contains the standard interface system that integrates with the factory's ERP. WMS enables the implementation of multi-site communication by providing a centralized ERP interface and transmitting information to different systems as needed.
All system activities can be monitored in real time.
The system also provides a statistics and reporting package for analyzing productivity, monitoring system KPIs and operator performance, checking system exceptions and more besides.
MIP (MACHINE INTEGRATION PLATFORM)
Machine Integration Platform is SM.I.LE80's integration module for communicating with and controlling all the automated systems installed in the plant to automate production processes. The module permits complete integration with all Elettric80 & BEMA equipment and also permits communication with third party PLC systems.
MIP also feeds the SM.I.LE80 statistics database to provide information on system performance.
TPT (TOTAL PRODUCTS TRACEABILITY)
Total Product Traceability is the module that ensures the total traceability of products within the production plant.
The TPT module guarantees:
Traceability of the raw materials, ingredients and WIPs used in the production process
Granular tracking of stock inventory based on the basis of item attributes (SSCC, lot number, expiry date, etc.)
Product labeling (UCC/EAN-128 standard)
Monitoring of quality inspections and results
Traceability of product/lot/expiry date for items on mixed pallets (picking)
With the addition of the TMS (Transport Management System) add-on module, product can be located logically right up to delivery to destination.
TMS (TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
Transport Management System is the SM.I.LE80 module that provides efficient shipping management and planning for production plants and distribution centers. Through integration with SM.I.LE80's WMS (Warehouse Management System) module, TMS ensures efficient planning of shipping operations while controlling the progress of orders in the warehouse.
The TMS module is composed of two sub-modules:
Delivery: shipping order management and optimized route planning
Tracking: Real-time monitoring of order deliveries
YMS (YARD MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
Yard Management System oversees, manages and tracks trucks, trailers and containers in the yard of a production plant, warehouse or distribution center.
The YMS module provides:
Real-time information on the arrivals and locations of vehicles and containers (with associated parking times)
Real-time monitoring of order shipping and loading bays
Reports and dashboards on KPIs (key performance indicators) for processes and people, with statistical analysis of: Delays Workloads Yard parking time
ECS (EASY CONNECTING SOLUTIONS)
Easy Connecting Solutions monitors system performance to promptly identify issues or inefficiencies.
The ECS module offers:
Web-based graphic interface for monitoring operations, reviewing system status in real time and controlling business functions
Web dashboard for controlling the main system KPIs and monitoring system workload
Alerting tool for active notifications (e-mails, SMS) in case of potentially critical events
Standardized, efficient and secure remote connectivity to guarantee high quality remote assistance if needed
